Spanih Navy School Ship leaves the port of Ferrol

I was born in Ferrol, an important shipbuilding port and Spanish Navy military base. My father was a chief engineer in the merchant navy, so that left me a certain taste for things pertaining to the sea. I love ships and like to know about them. I am proud that Ferrol was -along with La Habana in Cuba- the most important shipbuilding center for the Spanish Crown, and even today some of the world finest military vessels are being diseigned and built in my hometown.

Tirso
Colegio Tirso de Molina

My school years were spent at Colegio Tirso de Molina, where I did both bachillerato elemental, superior and revalidas (in short, all the non university education). Tirso de Molina was a religious school managed by the an order of Monks called Mercedarios -you can see their ensign in the wall of the building. In the old times the monks will offer themselves to the muslims as slaves in exchange by christian captives captured who lack money to pay for their rescue -a common practice back then-. In modern times they are basically devoted to education.
